Depression

Depression is a serious mental disorder that affects millions of people around the world. It is one of the most difficult conditions to treat, and there are no specific treatments that work for everyone. However, various forms of depression therapy may be effective in helping some people overcome their symptoms.

There are two main types of complementary treatments for depression- Talk therapy and medication management/pharmacotherapy.

Medications can be prescribed by a doctor to help relieve the symptoms of major depressive episodes or bipolar disorder. The most common type of antidepressant medications used for Depression are serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). These medications work by increasing levels of serotonin in the brain.
